Fellow riders:

Attached are three pictures I took of riders in Alaska on the Dalton Highway while on vacation this summer. The Dalton Highway is the haul road that was built from north of Fairbanks to Prudhoe Bay when the Alaska Pipeline was constructed. It is a narrow, dirt road most of the way with one service stop in almost 500 miles.

The first picture is a biker from Europe, Sweden, if I remember correctly, who was headed north on the Dalton Highway to Prudhoe Bay to start a trip from the Arctic Ocean to the southern tip of South America. He was riding a BMW 650.

The second picture is of two riders, one from Alaska and the second from Texas who were planning to ride the Dalton Highway to Prudhoe Bay and return. You can see they both are riding BMW GS 1150's. The third shot is the same two riders as we passed them on their way south the next day.

See you on the next ride.
